The PTC Special Education Committee presents its Winter Roundtable Event: Ways to Boost Your Student's Executive Functioning. Thursday, February 20, 7:00 p.m., Edison Intermediate School.

The Miller Cory House Museum is hosting "Gingerbread for Liberty" on Sunday, February 23 from 2-4 p.m.

The Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library, in partnership with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Association and the Westfield Memorial Library, are celebrating Black History Month with a month-long initiative focusing on Americans Who Tell the Truth (AWTT), as relating to the Black experience. Weekly discussions will take place at 7 p.m. at the library. All discussions are open to the public; pre-registration required by contacting the library at (908) 789-4090, ext 0 or registering online at www.wmlnj.org.

After receiving concerns about children riding e-bikes and e-scooters in an unsafe manner, the Westfield Police Department is sharing this letter to help the school community avoid serious and/or life-threatening injuries by understanding the laws regarding safe operation of e-bikes and scooters, along with a helpful infographic regarding New Jersey's E-Bike and E-Scooter Law.

Established in 1957, the PTC Scholarship Fund benefits graduating Westfield High School seniors who demonstrate financial need, academic perseverance, and community involvement. Beth Mitchell, JCC's Director of Inclusion and Diversity, can provide useful guidance for parents/guardians of children who are being assessed for early intervention, beginning the special education evaluation process, receiving/would benefit from additional support through an IEP or Section 504 Plan, among other support services. The JCC of Central Jersey is hosting its annual JCC Special Needs Resource Fair on Sunday, February 23 from 10a-2p.

The Union County Association of Student Assistance Professionals presents "Teens, Parents, and Body Image: Navigating Today's World Together" on Wednesday, February 26 from 12-1 p.m. Register for this virtual event.

The JCC of Central New Jersey offers a free caregiver support group, a monthly group for caregivers of children with special needs to focus on their mental wellness, share their experiences and meet/connect with other caregivers. With the "Please Don't Risk It" campaign, the Westfield Regional Health Department and Westfield Peer Leadership Group have partnered to remind parents of the legal and health consequences of providing alcohol to minors. National research shows that 57% of minors report drinking at friends' homes.

The New Jersey Festival Orchestra will perform "Invitation to Vienna" on February 22 at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield and on February 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge. Students receive a discounted ticket price of $25. njfestivalorchestra.org

Club Connect at the JCC for high school students with disabilities - Tuesdays through June 10.

All WPS parents/guardians of children in Grades Pre-K through 12 are invited to a Mental Health Symposium on Thursday, March 27 at 6 p.m. at Westfield High School. Pre-registration is required by February 28 to determine if there will be sufficient attendance to hold the event. Don't miss this opportunity to hear from mental health and related professionals on this important topic.

Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, is holding a T-Shirt Design Contest for the 12th Annual Greta's Run for contestants between Grades 4-12. All design entries due by Friday, March 7 at 11:59 p.m. imaginenj.org/contest/

The Westfield Recreation Department offers a wide range of programs & activities for all ages this Fall. Programs include: sports, fitness, nature, arts, music, coding, LEGO, STEM, science, social, on day workshops & so much more. Programs are offered for preschool, parent & child, school age, teens, adults & seniors. The Westfield Coalition for the Arts (WCA) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1986 by parent volunteers in Westfield, N.J. The mission of the WCA is to act as an advocate for the arts including music, drama and visual arts in the Westfield Public Schools. The WCA fulfills teacher requests for arts materials and supplies, musical instruments, equipment, technology, special events and more.   2. Complete the “Create Account” form.


    Important:  Use the same email that you use to logon to Genesis (the address that this email was sent to).  Do not use a different email.  You will be able to change your email or add additional emails to your account once it is activated.

  3. Once completed you will receive an email from Membership Toolkit. Click the link in the email message to verify your email address and complete the process.
